Terms

Service terms for HumanProof, a bot protection brand operated by Synergy Solutions GmbH.

These terms are a practical baseline for launch. They should still be reviewed by legal counsel before broad commercial use, especially for liability, SLA, enterprise contracts, and jurisdiction-specific consumer requirements.

Provider

HumanProof is a brand of Synergy Solutions GmbH, Tal 35, 80331 München, Germany. References to HumanProof, we, us, or our mean Synergy Solutions GmbH operating the HumanProof service.

Service

HumanProof provides hosted challenge protection, proof-of-work CAPTCHA widgets, project keys, server-side verification endpoints, usage limits, billing controls, risk controls, reporting views, and related operational tools for protecting web forms and application flows.

Accounts and organizations

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure, manage organization members responsibly, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access. You are responsible for all activity under your account or organization workspace.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for configuring projects, domains, client assignments, widget options, security presets, backend verification, billing information, and protected application flows correctly. Backend secrets must be stored only server-side and must not be exposed in HTML, JavaScript, mobile apps, public repositories, or client-side configuration.

Acceptable use

You may not use HumanProof to attack third-party systems, bypass security controls, send unlawful or abusive traffic, process data unlawfully, overload the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, resell the service without written permission, or interfere with the integrity or availability of HumanProof.

Plans, limits, and billing

Plans may include limits for protected attempts, projects, members, usage history, widget variants, branding, and risk controls. Usage beyond configured limits may be rejected or require a plan change. Paid plans are billed through the configured payment provider. Plan changes, cancellations, invoices, and payment method updates are handled through the billing flow shown in the application.

Availability

We aim to operate HumanProof reliably, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. We may perform maintenance, update security controls, change challenge behavior, or temporarily limit traffic to protect the service.

Security and verification

HumanProof helps reduce automated abuse but cannot guarantee that every bot is blocked or every human user is allowed. You remain responsible for your own application security, fraud controls, server-side validation, rate limits, and business decisions after verification.

Data protection

Use of HumanProof is subject to the privacy policy and, where applicable, a data processing agreement. You are responsible for providing required privacy notices to your users and ensuring that your use of HumanProof complies with applicable data protection law.

Changes

We may update these terms when the service changes or legal, technical, or commercial requirements make updates necessary. Material changes should be communicated through the website, application, or email where appropriate.
